The Fashion Organization of Retail and Marketing strives to unite Rutgers students with a passion for fashion, encourage interest, provide learning and networking opportunities, and enable students to explore prospective careers in the business of fashion. Between lectures and workshops with industry professionals, students can collaborate ideas and foster a fashion-oriented community through interactive activities.
FORM is a community of passionate, enthusiastic individuals connected by their interest in the fashion industry. Below are the members of the 2019-2020 executive board, who work together to maintain every level of the organization, including organizing campus-wide networking events, hosting professional career workshops, spreading organizational awareness through media channels and on-campus presence, and establishing strong ties between the organization, the school, and the fashion industry.
Involvement in FORM encompasses a wide range of events and activities, ranging from professional networking fairs to exciting field trips, and we're constantly brainstorming new and interesting ideas to strengthen our ties and reach out to more fashion-lovers! Below are some highlights:
Fashion Fair
Our yearly Fashion Fair brings students, alumni, and employers together in the largest retail industry networking event on campus. Students can engage in one-on-one networking with recruiters from a variety of established brands, learn about opportunities for jobs and internships, and gain knowledge of all the possibilities that the industry has to offer.
Exclusive trips
Throughout the year, we hold various trips for our members, including visits to corporate headquarters and popular fashion-related attractions. These trips not only serve as fun bonding experiences, but also provide exclusive looks at careers in the fashion and retail industries.
Professional workshops + social events
On campus, we host a variety of professional and social events, including meet-and-greets with industry professionals, resume-building and career-centered workshops, and fun club events involving DIY fashion projects and more.
