SUMMER '16 TRENDS - Men's Edition

Summer is in full swing and FORM is back to post the second edition of Summer '16 Trends for men...That's right, we didn't forget about you guys. So sit back, relax, and enjoy while reading up on the latest trends this season! 

1. Mixing Patterns 

That's right...You heard me. It's pretty common knowledge not to pair stripes with plaid, or flower prints with polka dots, but the weirder the better. Mixing patterns that normally clash add character to any outfit and really capture the care-free vibe that Summer is all about.

2. Distressed Jeans

Summer is the time to kick back and let loose. Say goodbye to tight skinny jeans and dress pants because distressed jeans are the answer to all of your problems. Not only are they super easy to move around in, but they also provide just the right amount of air during those hot summer days. Justin Bieber seems to be the king of this summer trend.

3. High Socks

Showing off your sock patterns is totally okay, guys! In fact, it's encouraged. Show off those crazy prints, cartoon characters, neon colors, whatever.

4. Light Bomber Jackets

Well, this sounds familiar doesn't it? These light bomber jackets aren't only a women's trend. Also termed "Sukajan", these silk bombers are the ideal piece to throw on over a plain white tee or even a tank. Light and easily stored in a backpack, this is a summer essential.

5. Above the Knee Shorts

It's summer, so let's ditch those long cargo shorts. This summer is all about fitted shorts that fall just above the knee. Above the knee shorts are particularly great for the warm weather and come in a variety of colors adding versatility to every man's wardrobe.

6. Athletic Sneakers... White ones

These paired with anything is pure gold. Athletic sneakers aren't just for the gym, they are also perfect with rolled up jeans and a cuffed tee or even worn to work with a more put-together ensemble. The white enables the opportunity for the ideal match with any outfit.

7. Pastels

Pastels are the new black. This summer, try lightening up the mood by wearing baby blues or even baby pinks. Pastels are available for all pieces - tee shirts, shorts, or even light accents like ties or socks.

8. Long Locks 

It seems that guys are pumping up the volume this summer with longer, more voluminous locks. Whether it is slicked back, flipped up, or put into the envious man-bun... Long hair is the new in.
