Last month, 17 members of FORM had the chance to visit the headquarters office of one of America's most popular designer brands: Michael Kors! Located in Manhattan, NYC, The Michael Kors headquarters boasts a sense of class and elegance that aligns perfectly with the brand. Following the success of our trip to the Tiffany & Co. headquarters last spring, the members of FORM took another adventure to NYC this past November, visiting the one-of-a-kind Michael Kors headquarters.
As part of this trip, FORM members had the chance to learn about the brand and its story, from its roots in the innovative mind of then 19-year-old Michael Kors to today's world-renowned, internationally-acclaimed designer fashion brand.
Featuring a bright, clean yet luxurious vibe, the Michael Kors headquarters reflects the brand itself, a mix of casual and classy, simple and sophisticated designer sportswear. Their latest collections were showcased along the walls, while a large-screen monitor played segments from their fashion show.
An exclusive brand video, Q&A session, and information on career opportunities, company culture, and brand growth were all part of the trip, making this an unforgettable, rewarding experience. Students pursuing a career in the fashion industry received valuable insight on the Michael Kors internship program, and students who were enthusiastic about fashion got to see the behind-the-scenes working of a globally-recognized brand.
With flagship stores across the globe and an ever-growing popularity among consumers of all regions, backgrounds, and lifestyles, this jet set luxury brand seems unstoppable. Whether it be at the brand's humble start or in the splendor of its current success, Michael Kors has never lost sight of its signature image and style inspiration.
For us at FORM, this trip provided a firsthand look at the inner workings and true spirit behind Michael Kors, as well as a deeper understanding of the fashion industry and what it takes to succeed. We are greatful for such an amazing opportunity, and can't wait to plan more trips to come!
